Understanding often starts from conversations. In schools, offices and community centres, we have on numerous occasions chatted with youngsters and listened to people around them: students, working youths, principals, teachers, social workers, employers, etc. These conversations allowed us to understand the challenges that youth face in life, and their experiences and expectations towards life. Thank you for sharing and for inspiring us.
To facilitate candid, high-quality discussions, we experimented with the “speed-dating” concept to engender “heart-to-heart” talks with youngsters. Youths were encouraged to open up and share their feelings in a casual and comfortable setting, through which we hoped to understand their views more deeply.
